Strategy

What makes a great strategic plan?

A strategic plan is timely. You have done your research so you know where the trends are leading and can take advantage of this momentum.

A strategic plan is creative. You do all the things you would be expected to do, and some things you wouldn't be expected to do. Innovative things. Sometimes even risky things. But always with your communication objectives firmly in mind.

A strategic plan is flexible. You have a timetable, but you can adapt easily if the situation changes. And it will.

A strategic plan is efficient. It takes money to make money, but it shouldn't take too much money to make too little money.

A strategic plan is measurable. You know what your goals are and you constantly measure what's happening versus what you wanted to happen.

In a great strategic plan, the strategy defines the tactics. The tactics do not define the strategy.

The Vandiver Group understands how to put together a great strategic communications plan.

We do our research. We talk to you. Learn about your company, your objectives, your competition, your industry.

We find out what people are saying about you and where your industry is going - who is successful and who is not.

Then we design the plan. A plan that's timely, creative, flexible, efficient, measurable. Strategic.
